Finally, a bright and sunny day for a ride; albeit crisp in the morning!

At 10:00 AM sharp, twelve bikes with thirteen riders left Shari’s parking lot for lunch at the Railroad Station Bar and Grill in Cloverdale. The route took us east on Rohnert Park Expressway to Petaluma Hill Road where the group turned left. Heading north we took Crane Canyon Road to Bennett Valley Road where we turned right. Enjoying a long stretch of winding, wonderfully green roads, we turned left on Hwy 12 after going through Kenwood. Taking Calistoga Road, we took our rest stop at Pioneer Park in downtown Calistoga. After some lively chatter and potty breaks, we took Hwy 128 to Geyserville and then on to the restaurant. As the weather was in the mid-60s the group decided to bask in the sun outside for lunch. After lunch everyone was on their own for the ride home.

I would be remiss if I did not thank George Homenko for riding sweep for this ride! Thank you, George….

Cheers!
