I know it was cold in the morning, but the day turned out to be really nice and kind of almost warm. We left Shari’s at 10:00am with 8 bikes. Road conditions were good throughout the ride even after the recent rains. The morning pit stop was in Nicasio via one of my favorite roads through Chileno Valley. We then proceed to Stinson Beach via Sir Francis Drake Blvd., through Samuel P Taylor Park and then onto Hwy 1 at Olema.

If you ever find yourself in Stinson Beach around lunch time you just have to try out a well-hidden restaurant that is actually on the beach. It is called the Siren Cafe and it is located under the Stinson Beach life guard station. Claimed to have one of the best hamburgers in the state, it is a great mix of Tex Mex foods.

Completely rider refueled we left the Siren Cafe and headed back up Hwy 1, taking our afternoon pit stop at Miller Park / Nick’s Cove on Tomales Bay. Most of us were home by 3:00.

I’d like to thank Wade for running sweep. Always a boost in my confidence to have someone like Wade watching the tail end.
