12 people on 11 bikes met at Shari’s at 9:00 AM on a beautiful day! We were joined by 1 new rider, Mike. Kickstands up at 9:30 AM. We headed out Rohnert Park Expressway to Petaluma Hill Road and through Schellville to Highway 29 and out Jamieson Canyon Road on our way to Rio Vista for our first stop.
We Rio Vista going east on 12 heading through Lodi and wove our way through farm country heading to Escalon. Heading east on 120 to Oakdale where we stopped to have lunch at Ryderz restaurant. We had a great lunch and great fun and also met another member David McAleece who now lives in that area.
After lunch, we left Oakdale headed out 26 Mile Road to State Route 4. We headed west on 4 to Farmington where we stopped for gas and fresh fruit. We headed back through Lodi west on Hwy 12. Extremely Windy on 12 and the experience of the riders kicked in. Stopped in Suisun City for a break and to say our goodbyes.
We rode a total of 280 miles and many smiles along the way. It was my first official attempt at being a road captain and I think it went well. Look forward to riding in the future.
