After two days of over 100-degree weather, the Wednesday, June 12, ride to Suisun City was a tad bit cooler (mid 90s at the height)! Seven bikes and eight riders took off from Shari’s and headed north on Hwy 101 to Mark West Springs Road. At Calistoga and Hwy 128 we turned right then headed to Angwin. From Angwin we headed to Pope Valley then Chiles Valley Road and had our first rest stop at Turtle Rock where everyone took a layer or two off!
Leaving Turtle Rock we continued on Hwy 128 and then turned South on Hwy 121. We then took a left at Woden Valley Road and then into Suisun City where we had lunch at Bab’s Diner. We had a lovely table on the patio on the river and enjoyed an occasional breeze.
After lunch we took Lopes Road which runs parallel with 680 then to Lake Herman Road, through Vallejo to Hwy 37. The group split at Sears Point.
Many thanks to Wade Roberts for having my back as this was the first ride that I have led.
I believe all enjoyed the ride and all riders returned home safely!
