First of all, I would like to thank Rob Grassi for taking the day off to give the Redwood Riders Club members a private tour of the Bale Grist Mill. It was a very educational tour and all the history behind the mill was so fascinating. Thank You Rob!

Wednesday Sept 11th – We left Shari’s at 9:30 am with 14 bikes and 15 riders. Heading out to west side road up to Cloverdale picking up 3 more bikes/riders making a total of 17 bikes 18 riders. After the first break, we headed on the east side of Sonoma County on Highway 128 to Calistoga to Cal Mart for everyone to pick up a deli lunch. Then, Rob led us up to Bale Grist Mill, where we all ate lunch under the shady trees of the park. After lunch, Rob gave us a great tour of the Mill; when it started and about the history of the Mill. After the tour some of us decided to make the ride a little longer, 9 of took off down Silverado trail to Napa Hwy 121 where we stopped at the Chevron for gas and the last goodbyes. Then heading to Sonoma and then back home.

Thanks to all the riders that came out and enjoyed the beautiful weather, nice ride, good lunch and great tour. Until the next one, Thanks! Your Road Captain –
