7 Riders met at Shari’s for our ride to Woodland. The forecasted heat might have changed some people’s mind about riding. It never got as hot as predicted thank goodness! The hottest part of the ride was along the stretch by Lake Berryessa, which was 97. We took Mark West Springs Road through Calistoga to 128 to our rest stop at Turtle Rock. It was warming up so, layers were shed. We continued on 128 past towards Winters, then headed north along farming country to route 16, then east to Woodland.
Lunch was at Pete’s Restaurant & Brewery and it was enjoyed by all. After lunch, one rider headed home to Ukiah and another took the freeway way home. The remainder of us head south on county road 97, then over the 113 to Hwy 12. We stopped at Suisan to say goodbyes.
We were all glad the temperatures never got hot as forecast! Thanks guys for a good ride 😎
