A partly overcast morning quickly became a sunny ride and proved to be a great day for a road trip. The small but mighty group of 4 bikes and one passenger headed south via Stony Point Rd towards Nicasio Valley. We followed smaller lesser-known streets through the quaint towns of Fairfax, San Anselmo, and Ross as we continued to our first bathroom break at the Marin Headlands. The sky was blue and clear with spectacular views of the bay area, high above the Golden Gate Bridge. We said goodbye to one of our riders here and continued on to San Francisco across bridge #1, the world famous Golden Gate. Our route took us through the City to Sloat Blvd where we caught Skyland Blvd to Hwy 1. Next stop, Nick’s at Rockaway Beach for lunch. This historic restaurant on the coast has been in business since 1927! We parted ways with another rider after lunch and the remainder of the group headed back north for a stop at San Francisco Harley Davidson. After browsing around, we headed towards bridge #2, the Bay Bridge. Things were getting pretty breezy on the road as we continued towards home and hit the 3rd and final bridge, Richmond-San Rafael.  The last rider split off at the Gravenstein Hwy exit and we all headed home, until next time…
