We were blessed with a sunny day for our ride. We left Shari’s with 13 bikes and 2 passengers, 3 of them were new to our club, and 1 returning member. As we passed north Santa Rosa on 101 north, 5 more bikes joined us. Our first stop was at the Chevron in north Ukiah, where another member joined us. We headed up 101 to Laytonville for a gas/rest break in Laytonville. We then headed west to the coast on Branscomb Rd. Sadly, a member went down a few miles into the curves. He broke 8 ribs and is in the hospital for a few days, but he’s in good spirits. He was towards the back of the group and most of us didn’t know until one of our riders caught up with us at the junction of Branscomb Rd and Hwy 1. He was taken by rescue helicopter to Santa Rosa.
We then went on to lunch at The Wharf as the down rider was in rescuers’ hands. After lunch, we rode down the coast with some peeling off in Jenner and the remainder in Bodega Bay. We never hit any hot weather. Even though the coast was sunny the whole way, it was in the mid 60’s.
Thanks for all that rode
