The ride started off with 11 riders on 11 bikes. As kickstands went up at 9:30 as the sun started to break through. The first stop was at Pioneer Park in Calistoga. We arrived at about 10:40. Lonnie’s shifter came loose on the ride so the bike wouldn’t shift out of 3rd gear. A little work with an allen wrench and Lonnie was back on the road and able to finish the ride.

Instead of taking 128 to Alexander Valley we took Franz Valley School Road out of Calistoga. If you haven’t been on this road for a while, I highly recommend it. Just been paved and it has just the right amount of turns and views.

We were going to have lunch at the Hamburger Ranch in Cloverdale, but at break Gary Pope brought up another option in Geyserville. So we had leisurely boxed lunches at the Geyserville Grill. Lots of time to talk with some new and old friends. The ride was terminated at lunch and people left on their own.

The ride to lunch was about 85 miles. Finished with 10 bikes. Bev on her Harley had another thing to do that afternoon, so she broke off in Calistoga. A special thanks to Mike Holden for being my sweep.
