The morning was cold, but the sun was out and it was the first ride of the new year. We had 5 brave souls on 5 bikes for the ride. Kickstands were up at 10 and we were on our way to Roblar Road and then up the coast on Highway 1 to Duncans Mills. Pit stop at the Mills with some hot chocolate. After the break it was East on River Road to Mark West Springs then over the hill via Franz Valley Road to Alexander Valley. From there it was a straight shot into Buster’s for lunch.
The roads were in very good shape with very little water or potholes. Buster’s has added a bunch of dedicated parking for motorcycles, which made parking a breeze. Busters, they always have a good Bar B Que.
No organized ride home but we stayed in our massive group of 5 along Calistoga Road and split up at Mark West Springs. We were easily home in time to watch some football.
