This was the second time we tried to do this ride this year. And the year hasn’t been that long. The first time I called this ride off was with plenty of warning, because all it was doing was raining. This time I was hoping I could squeeze it in between storms. It wasn’t raining at Shari’s and I, of eternal optimism, started the ride with five other brave souls at 10am. Let me just say by the time we were on Chileno Valley Road it was pretty damn wet. I had planned a stop at Rancho Nicasio for a break, so we proceeded there to make a decision on whether to continue or not. Unfortunately for the ride, the keeper of the bar at the Rancho Nicasio had hot coffee brewing and a warm fire burning. The decision was made to call the ride. A special thanks to Randy who drove all the way from Oakland and Martin who came in from Napa.
Better luck next time I hope.
