Because of the red flag warning we had to do an alternate route. We originally planned to ride to Stinson Beach via the Bolinas – Fairfax road. The road was closed because of possible fire danger. So we rode the old backup of Skaggs Springs Road to Annapolis and then down to Stewart’s Point for lunch. Kickstands were up at 9:30 and we had eleven riders and eleven bikes.
We stopped for sandwiches in Healdsburg and then rode the back roads to Geyserville over to Dry Creek Road then with a pit stop at the Lake Sonoma Overview. From there it was Skaggs Springs Road to Annapolis then Highway one south to Stewart’s Point. We ate lunch on the rise above the store and then proceeded down highway 1 to Bodega for ice cream in honor of Randy Mach. Nice ride with good weather and most people got home around 3pm. Total miles about 160. Eleven started and eleven finished.
