Well, they day started out rough for me, and I was late getting to the meeting site, but thanks to Heidi

B we were able to stay on track and leave on time. Thanks Heidi for getting everyone signed in. We had a couple new people sign up to be members and we had a couple of people join us from meet up. One came all the way from Pleasanton. Was great to have some new riders.

We had 20 bikes and 21 riders as we left Shari’s under a beautiful crisp Sunday morning. Heading up Hwy 101 and over Mark West Road we made our way through Calistoga and up to Middletown where we had our first rest stop: Peri’s Deli. Some of the group decided to get sandwiches and snacks to eat at lunch. We also had to strip off some clothes as it started to get a little toasty

We traveled up Hwy 29, hooked onto Hwy 53 and ended on Hwy 20 which took us around the top part of Clearlake. The lake was so beautiful it was mesmerizing. I almost forgot I had people following me…lol. After meandering around the lake, we ended in Nice at our Lunch stop: Romi’s Brew & BBQ.

Half the group ordered lunch at Romi’s while the other half ate their sandwiches and snacks from Peri’s Deli. Some of the group decided to head back early and they took Hwy 20 over to Hwy 101 and back down towards Santa Rosa.

The rest of us finished our lunch, saddled up and after making a quick stop at the gas station, we headed down Hwy 29 towards Hwy 175. Those adventurous riders followed me through the curvy roads of Hwy 175. I did notice a few bikes go straight onto Hwy 20 instead of following the group.

By the time we hit Hopland we were down to 8 bikes. The majority of the group opted out of ice cream, so we said our goodbyes in Hopland and headed on home down Hwy 101. It was roughly 150 miles round trip.

It was a nice day for a ride and I am so glad I got to lead it. I definitely felt better by the time I got home.

Thank you everyone that joined us.
