The ride started out at Shari’s on a very foggy morning. We had an especially large turnout of 17 motorcycles for such a cool winter’s morning. Kick stands went up on time at 9:30 am. Because of the rain earlier that morning, we changed the route to the casino from driving through Middletown to riding up highway 101 to highway 20 and then along the north shore of Clear Lake. Traffic was light all the way to our turn off at highway 16. On highway 16 to Cache Creek Casino we rode 27 miles of clear road without a single car in front of the group. The weather cleared by the time we reached highway 20 making for a beautiful ride.

We had a great lunch at the casino. The buffet here is really one of the best in the area and worth the drive.

After lunch we drove towards Winters and caught highway 128 to Lake Berryessa. We did a photo shoot at the dam (see photo link). After stopping at the dam, we then did a quick pit stop at Turtle Rock. Goodbyes and hugs were generously passed out at Turtle Rock. We then all headed the most direct way back to our homes. I got home, in Santa Rosa, around 4:30 that afternoon. A great time with some really good people.

Already looking forward to the next ride.
